What we collect and why

The Pet Partner collects only the information needed to run account access, rescue/adoption workflows, donations, and community safety. We do not sell personal data.

  • Account and identity data

    Username/full name, email, phone, role, OTP verification timestamps, and onboarding details.

  • Profile, rescue, and adoption data

    Bio, profile photo, approximate location, application responses, listing details, and case updates you submit.

  • Payment and contribution data

    Donation transaction references, campaign details, and settlement metadata. Raw card details are handled by payment processors, not stored by us.

  • Security and technical logs

    IP address, device/browser metadata, API request logs, and audit traces used for abuse prevention and reliability.

Third-party service providers

We share limited data only with providers required to operate the service (for example, email delivery, media hosting, payments, cloud infrastructure, and push notifications), under contractual safeguards. We do not authorize third parties to sell your data.

We use essential cookies/local session storage for authentication, onboarding continuity, and basic preferences. You can control cookies in your browser. See our Cookie Policy.

Retention, security, and children

Data retention

We keep data only as long as needed for operations, fraud prevention, legal compliance, and dispute resolution, then delete or anonymize where practical.

Security controls

We apply access control, encrypted transport, scoped infrastructure permissions, and operational monitoring. No system is perfect, but we continuously improve safeguards.

Children’s privacy

The platform is intended for users legally able to consent. If you believe a minor shared personal data without authorization, contact us for prompt review and removal.

Refund policy

Fair rules for donations and subscriptions.

In-app donations & contributions

Donations typically move quickly to shelters, rescuers, and campaign operations. For that reason, refunds are reviewed case-by-case and cannot be guaranteed once funds are disbursed.

Eligibility window

Submit refund requests within 48 hours of a one-time donation, with transaction details. Recurring support can be cancelled before the next billing cycle.

Verification process

Share your transaction ID, donation date, amount, and reason. We review requests in 3-5 business days and coordinate with payment partners where applicable.

How refunds work

    Our team verifies transaction status and whether funds have already been disbursed.

  3. 3

    If approved, refunds are issued to the original method, usually within 7-10 business days.
