Eligibility and acceptance
By accessing or using The Pet Partner, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any product-specific guidelines shown inside the platform.
You represent that you are legally capable of entering into a binding agreement under applicable law. If you are using the platform on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these Terms for that organization.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide.
- You must comply with local laws, animal welfare standards, and emergency protocols when using our services.
Accounts, roles, and verification
You are responsible for maintaining account security and for activity under your account. Keep your login credentials and OTPs confidential.
User roles
The platform supports Pet Parent/Owner, NGO, Veterinarian, and Volunteer roles with different features and responsibilities.
Verification and enforcement
We may verify identity, credentials, clinic/organization details, and contact channels. We may suspend or limit accounts that fail verification or violate these Terms.
Platform services and your responsibilities
The Pet Partner provides a technology platform for discovery, communication, reporting, and coordination. We are not a shelter, veterinary clinic, emergency response agency, transporter, or insurer.
Adoption outcomes, rescue timelines, and medical decisions depend on users, NGOs, vets, and local authorities. You are solely responsible for independent judgment before acting on any listing, report, or recommendation.
You agree not to misuse emergency workflows, impersonate others, post false distress reports, or use the platform for breeding, trafficking, cruelty, harassment, or illegal activities.
You retain ownership of your submitted content but grant The Pet Partner a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, display, format, and distribute that content within product, safety, legal, moderation, and support contexts.
Donations, contributions, and payment terms
Certain features may involve payments through third-party gateways (for example, donations or campaign contributions). You authorize us and our payment partners to process those transactions.
Unless explicitly stated otherwise at checkout or in a specific policy, payments are treated as final. Any refund handling is subject to applicable law, partner terms, and our published refund policy.
We do not assume custody responsibility for NGO spending decisions, veterinary treatment outcomes, or third-party representations beyond what is required by law and platform policy.
Acceptable use and enforcement
You must use the platform respectfully and lawfully. We may remove content, restrict features, or suspend accounts for conduct that threatens user trust, safety, or legal compliance.
- No fraud, impersonation, misrepresentation, or manipulated evidence.
- No abuse, hate speech, threats, or sharing of sensitive personal data without authorization.
- No malware, scraping abuse, reverse engineering, or service disruption attempts.
- No unlawful sale, transfer, breeding, or exploitation of animals through the platform.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER
The platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Pet Partner disclaims warranties of accuracy, availability, and fitness for a particular purpose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business interruption arising from platform use, third-party actions, rescue/adoption outcomes, or payment partner failures.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access immediately if we reasonably believe there is a breach of these Terms, safety risk, fraud, abuse, legal exposure, or harm to users/animals.
You may stop using the platform at any time. Some legal obligations (for example, records, dispute, and liability clauses) survive termination as required.
Governing law and updates
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts with competent jurisdiction in India will have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer law protections.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date on this page and, where appropriate, additional in-product notice.
